Day 14: A Script Based Around A Wedding
Konichiwa Readers!
We've made it to two weeks! Hooray!
Well, I have at least, you've done nothing but read ,you lazy swines!
Today's script I actually ended up quite enjoying. Although it may bend the rules slightly as it's not really based around a wedding as much as it just set within one. But that's kind of the same, right?
Initially for today I was thinking about some sort of unexpected domestic drama that would ruin a big day, but I quickly rejected that notion - although I won't tell you what I had in mind as it's utter garbage: a simplistic, unoriginal piece of hogwash that feels like it would be more at home in a mediocre episode of Hollyoaks!
Instead, I turned my thoughts inwards to my own memories of weddings and, as it always does when I think of family matrimonial occasions, a very vivid image of my uncle leaped out at me. To say what that image is would sort of ruin the surprise at the end of the today's piece, but suffice to say - the line that Phil says to his wife is exactly what my uncle said to me when I found him doing exactly what Phil is found doing.
I took that line, and imagined what might have been happening before I stumbled upon the drunk fool. Make no mistake, Phil is not my uncle, and the characters and situations he mentions are not my family, but what resulted was a fun little monologue that I just sort of rolled with - much like a drunk person speaking - the words just fell out naturally, and I must say - I do quite the Addams Family gag!
I hope you have a giggle at An Unexpected Conversation Partner.

And as tomorrow is the halfway point - it gives the PERFECT opportunity to share something awesome that fits with the challenge like a hand in a glove!
